Say “Hello” to Kelli Votypka!

If you’ve been following along over the last few months, you’ve probably noticed we’ve been making a lot of progress at the Paragon Star development site. To help continue and exponentially build upon that momentum, we’ve added Kelli Votypka to the Paragon Star team.

We are excited for Kelli to join us because of her extensive experience in the parks and recreation industry, in everything from budget and facility management to programming and event planning. Not only does she have the ability to see the Paragon Star vision, but also the skills to make it a reality.

As the Director of Facility Operations & Recreation Activities, Kelli will lead the Paragon Star Sports & Recreation Complex operations and activities. She is currently working on developing the key operational building blocks for Paragon Star, and as the complex opens, she will transition to managing the day-to-day operations – let’s just say she’s our Swiss Army knife.

Additionally, Kelli will be a member of the team that will  design and develop the future Recreation Zone (coming in 2023). This area will be at the North end of the Sports & Recreation complex and have a variety of amenities and activities, such as sand volleyball and pickleball courts, a ropes course and a new trailhead at the confluence of the Little Blue Trace and Rock Island Railroad trails.

While Kelli has hit the ground running since day one, we asked her to take a minute to share a little bit about herself and why she wanted to be a part of the Paragon Star project. Continue reading to hear what she had to say.
